Pharma Summit 2015 - The dawn of a new era

Raddison Blu Portman Hotel, London, W1H 7BG, United Kingdom

Description

The pharma industry is not an island, yet it has acted as such for decades. Reform as seen in other industries is now needed to catch up and create cost savings as well as improve performance, at the same time as overcoming the challenges of being a controlled consumer market. The entire ecosystem needs to strengthen existing partnerships and establish new ones to provide quality treatments to patients at affordable prices. This will require fundamental change as opposed to the optimisation so far undertaken. The Pharma Summit, now it its 21st year, is a must-attend event for industry leaders. 2015 will focus on the challenges impacting the world of pharma as well as the innovation required to face them. The summit provides a unique platform for stakeholders from across the industry to convene, share views and network with peers.

5th International Conference and Exhibition on Pharmaceutics & Novel Drug Delivery Systems

Crown Plaza, Dubai, United States

Description

Pharmaceutica-2015 conveys recent developments in Nano-drug delivery systems, novel pre-formulation, formulation approaches and strategies have reoriented the focus of almost all the Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical R&D’s towards Novel Drug Delivery Systems (NDDS). To minimize drug degradation and loss, to prevent harmful side-effects and to increase drug bioavailability and the fraction of the drug accumulated in the required zone, various drug delivery and drug targeting systems are currently under development. A complete knowledge of the relevant therapeutic and physicochemical properties of the drug enables determination of its proper formulation and delivery method. Novel drug delivery systems were not only beneficial for patients, which also less complicated, non-invasive and a reduction in the dose of active ingredients. The global market for drug delivery systems in 2010 was $131.6 billion and is expected to increase to $137.8 billion by the end of 2011. The market is expected to rise at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5% and reach nearly $175.6 billion by 2016 The U.S. constituted approximately 59% of the total drug delivery market in 2010 and was $78 billion. It is forecast to grow from $82 billion in 2011 to $103 billion in 2016 at a CAGR of 4.7% Europe contributed about 27% of the total drug delivery market in 2010 and was $36 billion. BCC expects this market to grow to $49 billion by 2016 at a CAGR of 5.6% OMICS Group International is a pioneer and leading scientific event organizer, publishing around 400 Open access journals and conducting over 300 Scientific Meetings all over the globe annually with the support of more than 1000 scientific associations, 30,000 editorial board members, and 3.5 million followers to its credit.

Global Bioequivalence Harmonisation Initiative

Novotel Hotel

Description

Scope and aim Since decades, bioequivalence is considered one of the key questions in new and generic drug product development and registration worldwide. At the same time, it is obvious that the regulations and jurisdictions still differ to certain extent from country to country and continent to continent, although the scientific basis for it is globally the same. This aspect, and the on-going discussion on the suitability of reference products purchased from a specific country and their applicability for submissions in other countries or regions, create the necessity to conduct several only slightly different bioequivalence studies to get the same product authorised in various markets.
