  The Heat shock protein 70 (HSP-70) has a cytoprotective role against tumour necrosis factor alpha apoptosis, enhancing cancer cell survival. HSP-70 is often overexpressed in triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) cells. Various small molecule inhibitors targeting different TNBC survival pathways are in clinical trial phases.
