Biographies Speakers


Currently semi-retired, Jennifer worked for many years in community pharmacy and as a senior clinical pharmacist in hospital prior to completing her PhD and commencing as an academic at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Monash University. In 2007, she was awarded the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia's Cyril Tonkin Travelling Fellowship and visited 27 pharmacy schools in Canada, USA and UK to explore international pharmacy curricula and teaching innovation. Jennifer was Director of the Bachelor of Pharmacy course at Monash University from 2008-2012, responsible for the development and conduct of the Bachelor of Pharmacy program. She is the immediate Past-President of the Academic Section of the International Pharmacy Federation. She has been a member of theBPP, FIPEd Executive Committee and led the FIP-UNESCO UNITWIN programme from 2013-2016, focussing on the Centre of Excellence in Pharmacy Education in Africa. Jennifer is Associate Editor of the Pharmacy Education journal and a member of the editorial Board of the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education. Her main area of interest is in pharmacy curricula and academic capacity building. Since 2000 Jennifer has published more than 70 papers in peer-reviewed journals and obtained more than AUD$2 million in research grants.
