Biographies Speakers


Jinju Guk is a Ph.D candidate and teaching assistant in pharmacology at Yonsei University, College of Medicine. She received a bachelor's degree in pharmacy at Ewha Womens University and obtained a pharmacist license in 2010. Prior to enrolling at Yonsei, she worked as a pharmacist in several places such as community pharmacy and hospital pharmacy from 2010 to 2012. Since 2013, she has been trained as a pharmacometrician and clinical pharmacologist by a grant from the Brain Korea 21 Plus Project for medical science. She participated to understand NONMEM in Fisher/Shafer NONMEM Course, PKPD Modeling of Continuous and Categorical Data in NONMEM, The sheiner and Rowland Advanced Course in Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics, and Advanced Methods in NONMEM 7.3 Workshop. She has mainly focused on the development of pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic model and application of simulation in both areas of clinical trials and routine clinical practice in order to optimize benefit/risk of pharmacotherapy. Currently, she is working on her thesis on suggestions for optimal dosage regimen of vancomycin in patients with sepsis by using modeling and simulation with routine clinical data.
