Biographies Speakers


Prof Tim Rennie is the Head of the School of Pharmacy, University of Namibia. He graduated from the School of Pharmacy, University of London, and registered as a UK pharmacist. Following practice in hospital pharmacy he completed a PhD – his research investigated tuberculosis patient adherence to treatment in London. Most recently in the UK, as Head of TB Commissioning, he was involved in TB research and service development for TB commissioning priorities. During this time he also worked for the School of Pharmacy (Univ. London) as Programme Director of a post-graduate work-based hospital pharmacy programme. Since arriving in Namibia in 2010 he has led the implementation and accreditation of the country’s first School of Pharmacy now training pharmacists and technicians, offering postgraduate clinical training, and supporting the pre-registration programme. He is proudly a registered pharmacist in Namibia, FIP Education Lead, and Editor of the journal Pharmacy Education.
