TITLE:Solidarity Pharmacy: Community pharmacies as part of civil defence and humanitarian relief
SUMMARY:Solidarity Pharmacy: Community pharmacies as part of civil defence and humanitarian relief
DESCRIPTION:During natural or human-made emergencies, pharmacies and pharmacists are often the most accessible point of health care for affected communities. In some contexts, community pharmacies go a step further, engaging in volunteer-based relief activities and working alongside civil protection and humanitarian actors. Solidarity Pharmacy is a broad concept that places community pharmacies as active contributors to humanitarian response, while aiming to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. This webinar brings together experiences from civil protection, public health systems, humanitarian coordination, and FIP policy to explore how pharmacies operate under crisis conditions and to identify challenges, safeguards, and emerging best practices.
