TITLE:Using Multi-particulate Technology to Develop Pediatric Drug Products
SUMMARY:Using Multi-particulate Technology to Develop Pediatric Drug Products
DESCRIPTION:Designing truly child-friendly medicines demands platforms that balance dose flexibility, palatability, and predictable exposure. Multi-particulate systems—mini-tablets, pellets, and granules—offer precisely that: they enable weight-based titration by unit count, robust taste-masking, and immediate, delayed, or controlled-release profiles (including lipid multi-particulates) without relying solely on coatings. This webinar distills current evidence and practice into a pragmatic playbook: selecting the right multi-particulate platform for age and dose; optimizing mouthfeel and acceptability; choosing patient-centric options and dosing devices; and de-risking co-administration with soft foods through attribute-based compatibility testing. Case studies will show how to translate these principles into viable and scalable pediatric formulations.
