Introduction: A new remuneration policy, the Medication Adjustment Support Fee (Adjustment Fee), was introduced by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in Japan in 2018, to reduce inappropriate polypharmacy based on pharmacists’ recommendations following a medication review. Under this Adjustment Fee, pharmacies can receive remuneration..
