Introduction:
Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is the most common complication after total hip arthroplasty (THA) or total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Several international guidelines recommend antithrombotic prophylaxis for patients undergoing THA or TKA to VTE. In recent years, the Taiwanese National Health Insurance Bureau has approved the coverage.. The access to the whole abstract and if available the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
