Background:
Atropine sulfate 1% eye drops are often used in the treatment of amblyopia. Lower concentrations (usually 0,01%) have shown to be efficient in delaying the onset and/or progression of myopia in children and young adults. Since no registered medicines at low concentrations are available, pharmacists are compelled to prepare this.. The access to the whole abstract and if available the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
