Introduction:
Primary care is the ‘cornerstone’ of universal health care coverage, yet in Australia there are significant general practice workforce shortages. This study examines patterns of healthcare utilisation for obtaining prescription medicines in Australia from 2013 to 2023, focusing on visits to prescribers and pharmacies.
