Background
Syphilis is a sexually transmitted disease caused by Treponema pallidum. The incidence of syphilis in Japan has been increasing in recent years, it becomes a significant public health threat. A new treatment for syphilis, involving intramuscular penicillin injections that require only a few doses, was launched in January 2022 in Japan...
