Background:
With mortality rates ranging from 23% to 77%, Stenotrophomonas maltophilia (SM) infections pose a significant global health concern. Treating SM infections is particularly challenging due to their intrinsic resistance to a wide range of antibiotics. The best antibiotic regimen against SM infections has not been identified.
