D3 - 7th Global Pharmacy Technicians’ Symposium: Partners in health

Carron

Organised by FIPEd

Introduction

Partners in health

This year’s symposium theme is “Partners in health”: Discussions will focus on the roles, education programmes and services that have evolved and serve to define pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy support workforce groups in a variety of contexts globally, particularly as part of the global mid-level health workforce cadre. The symposium will feature high-level plenary sessions, interactive discussions and workshops covering a wide range of topics and choices catering to different interest areas and groups.

For the first time, the 2018 Global Pharmacy Technicians Symposium programme will feature several clusters of parallel sessions and workshops occurring concurrently. The parallel sessions will be a great opportunity to widen the discussion scope for all participants and better meet the needs of two distinct target audiences – pharmacy technicians and pharmacists working in partnership, and pharmacy administrators, educators, regulators and professional advocates looking to develop the pharmacy workforce within a broader context within health care systems.

The programme will include a short welcome by Catherine Duggan, CEO of FIP.
