Registration

  • How do I register for the congress?
    You may register online here

  • What are the fees for registration?
    You can find the different fees on the following fee page.

  • Can I register for the congress by mail or by telephone?
    No, all registrations must be made through the online registration form. 

  • Will I receive a confirmation?
    Yes, by email provided to us on the registration form.
  • I have registered but I did not receive the confirmation e-mail
    Please check your spam filter. If you did not receive the email there either, please contact us.
  • What is included in my registration fee?
    – Admission to all sessions
    – Opening ceremony
    – Welcome reception
    – Access to the exhibition and the poster session
    – Coffee/tea breaks
    – Lunch bag (from Monday 3 to Thursday 2018-09-06)
    – Access to all submitted abstracts and biographies as of 15 August 2018
    – Congress bag with final congress programme and list of participants (name and country of all participants registered and paid by 1 August 2018)
    – Access to a website where you can download the presentation slides of the speakers who gave permission (available as of 1 November 2018). 
  • Why have I not received a special link to register as a FIP member? In order to qualify for the FIP Member fee two conditions must be met:
    (1) You must have been an individual member of FIP for at least the past two years (2016 and 2017); and
    (2) All your membership fees (including those for 2018) must be fully paid by 1 May 2018.
    If you qualify for this fee and still have not received a link, please contact the membership coordinator (branka@fip.org) at FIP, to check your membership status.
  • Do I have to make my own hotel reservation?
    Yes, you can make your reservation here.
  • I do not have a credit card. How can I pay for my registration?
    FIP only accepts payments via credit card. This can be a VISA, MasterCard or American Express. In case your country does not allow/have access to credit cards, please contact fip@mci-group.com for an alternative payment method. Please do note that an alternative payment method may involve an additional fee.
  • What proof should I attach when I register as student/recent graduate?
    The proof should be an official document proving your student/recent graduate status. This can be for example a diploma or an official document stating your enrolment in a pharmacy study. The document does not necessarily have to be in English.
  • I have requested a Visa Invitation letter, but have not received it.
    The Visa Invitation letter (also for accompanying persons) will be automatically send to your e-mail when you have successfully registered and finalized the payment. If you have not received it, please contact fip@mci-group.com.
  • Can I attend only one day?
    Yes, day cards can be purchased on site @ 360 Euro. Pre-registration for a day card is not possible. 
    Please note: It is not possible to exchange a full congress pre-registration into a day card. 

  • Are there discounts on multiple registrations?
    No, but we do facilitate group registration for groups of 10 or more from one company/organisation. Contact us for details.
  • Will the speakers’ presentations be posted on the website? 
    Yes, presentations will be made available to attendees after the congress via a password-protected link provided by email.
  • Do I have to register in advance or can I register on-site?
    We strongly discourage registering on site as you will not be guaranteed materials or seating. It is best and financially more attractive to register in advance, because of the registration deadlines.

  • Are there options for my strict dietary requirements?
    Yes, you can indicate your dietary requirements during online registration.
  • How many continuing education units do I receive for the congress?
    The continuing education hours and credits will be indicated on our website and in the printed congress programme.
  • What is the congress dress attire?
    Business attire or business casual. Business attire recommended for the Opening Ceremony, festive dress for the closing dinner.
  • Will I receive a receipt for my credit card charge?
    The confirmation sent by to you by our registration office MCI serves as a receipt as it specifies the date, method and amount of payment made.
  • How do I know if my registration submitted online was received?
    You will receive an auto response shortly after you submit the form with the details of your registration. 
    Once your payment has been processed you will receive your confirmation of registration, which is your invoice/receipt.
  • How do I obtain an invitation letter for visa application?
    The request for an official invitation letter for visa purposes is an option during the online registration You will receive the letter as a PDF after completing the online registration and payment.
  • The registration fee is too high for me, can it be waived?
    FIP is non-profit and non-governmental organization, in official relations with the World Health Organization and subject to strict limitations with regard to sponsorship from e.g. pharmaceutical industry, and therefore also not able to waive registration fees for or sponsor attendance of our congresses.
  • Can I get a certificate of attendance?
    Yes you will receive a certificate by e-mail after the congress.
  • Will my accompanying person have access to the sessions?
    If you accompanying person would like to attend the sessions, he/she does need a full congress registration.
  • Are there shuttle busses arranged from the airport to the Scottish Event Campus (SEC)?
    There are no shuttle busses arranged. The campus is accessible by numerous transport options. For more information please check their website.

Abstract Submission

  • Where can I submit an abstract?
    You can submit your abstract online HERE
  • What is the deadline of the abstract submission
    The deadline is the 1st of April 2018 (23.50 CET). The system will close after this date and therefore it is not possible to submit any abstracts after this date
  • I have submitted an abstract but did not receive a confirmation of it
    Please check your spam filter. If you did not receive the email there either, please contact us. 

  • I haven’t received any acceptance of my abstract. When do I receive this?
    The notification e-mails will be send out on the 1st of May 2018
  • Where are the abstracts going to be published?
    The abstracts will be published on the FIP website www.fip.org (only accessible by delegates who attended the congress) and in the mobile app.
  • Is it possible to make any corrections in my abstract after I have received the notification/acceptance e-mail?
    No, this is not possible as your abstract has been accepted based on how you have submitted it. However minor changes can be requested via e-mail (fip@mci-group.com)
  • The deadline of receiving the notification e-mail has passed but I haven’t received any
    Please check your spam filter. If you did not receive the email there either, please contact us.
  • Can I add authors to my abstract if it already has been accepted?
    Yes, you can send an e-mail with the name, affiliation, city and country of the author. Note that this is possible up and till 1,5 months before the congress. 

  • Can I get a certificate for my presentation?
    Yes you will receive a certificate by e-mail after the congress.
