    Background:

    Effective protocols of antibiotic use seldom exist in hospitals of developing countries,but with lot of irrational use.
    Aim:

    Our study was aimed to find out antibiotic use in different departments of the hospital.The study was conducted in a rural, district, charity, secondary level care, 500 beds hospital at Anantapur, South India.
