Extemporaneous compounding is a service, provided by more than a half of all Latvian pharmacies (394 of 758). The doctors are prescribing extemporaneous medicine, when the patient needs a customized approach. Therefore the knowledge and experience of the doctor in prescribing extemporaneous medicines is the main precondition in meeting..
