    Backgrounds

    More than 50 % of NCE have poor water solubility, limiting clinical application. One route to increase drug solubility is by surfactant solubilization. However, the lack of clear fundamental basis for appropriate surfactant selection hinders broader use of this simple and cost-effective technology.
