    Backgrounds

    Human parainfluenza viruses (hPIVs), type 1 – 4, are serious human pathogenic ones that cause upper and lower respiratory tract diseases in infants and young children, and also impact the elderly and immunocompromised patients. Neither effective clinical vaccines nor antiviral drugs are developed to treat the parainfluenza virus..
