• Abstract:

  Snakebite envenomation is a highly relevant public health problem that affects populations in tropical regions, Costa Rica has about 600 cases per year. The administration of specific antivenom is the only effective treatment for envenomation; however it is not exempt of adverse reactions as it mainly derives from animal immunoglobulins.
