• Abstract:

  BACKGROUND
  
  The US Military HIV Research Program (USMHRP) and Makerere University-Walter Reed Project (MUWRP) in Kampala, Uganda have been conducting HIV vaccine trials in Uganda since 2004. Per Division of AIDS (DAIDS) requirement, MUWRP established an investigational drug pharmacy. A pharmacy quality assurance program was initiated in 2005.
