  • Abstract:

Traditional herbal products are increasingly used in combination with allopathic medicines. This may cause pharmacokinetic interactions.

Bi-directional transport of indinavir was measured in the presence of plant extracts (5 mg/ml) and pure phytoconstituents (20 µM) across excised pig jejunum segments using the Sweetana-Grass diffusion apparatus.
