  • Abstract:

    I.Fungal infection of the nail unit, namely onychomycosis, is a common disorder. Topical agents penetrate and accumulate in the nail plate, with the highest concentrations found near the surface. The keratinized structure of nails provides a high resistance to drug permeation.
