    Aim: Venous leg ulcers affect almost 2% developed countries' population and are a significant burden to national health systems. Beneficial effect of topical and systemic phenytoin on wound healing process was previously described, including pressure ulcers and cutaneous lesions in dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa.
