  • Abstract:

    During 1600 AD, tobacco was introduced by the Portuguese traders in India. Today, India is second largest producer of tobacco in the world. There are 240 million smokers in India of which 194 million males and 45 million are females. On conservative estimates, the tobacco-attributable deaths currently range between 800,000 and 900,000 per year
