    BACKGROUND: Irinotecan(CPT-11) is a broad-spectrum antineoplastic agent The clinical use of CPT-11 is hindered by dose-limiting diarrhea. SN-38 is an active metabolite of CPT-11, delayed diarrhea could be reduced if the concentration of SN-38 was decreased.
