  • Abstract:

    There is an increasing need for new functional excipients. We synthesized  a wide range of more soluble chitosan derivatives to be used as absorption enhancers.  Chitosan derivatives, in combination with melittin, a cationic antimicrobial peptide, has proven synergistic absorption effects in vitro.
