    Rationale

    Current guidelines recommend limiting and standardizing the number of drug concentrations available for IV infusions. Within the paediatric setting, fluid volume is an important consideration and concern exists regarding the possibility of increased 24-hour fluid volume intake by instituting standardized concentrations (SC).
