    As per WHO report, 65% of the Indian population lacks access to essential medicines mainly due to its higher cost. In India more than 0.1 million brands of medicines are available. Among the various brands, low to high cost range is available for many medicines. Efforts are being taken at various levels to promote low cost brands and unbranded..
