    Pterodon pubescens Benth and Pterodon emarginatus Vogel, popularly known as “sucupira”, has ethnopharmacological application which is described as having antispasmodic and relaxant effects. Hence, it was hypothesized that sucupira oil-resin (SOR) could induce smooth muscle relaxation.
