  • Abstract:

    High mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) is a non-histone nuclear protein. It will be secreted from activated cells and then recognized as a pro-inflammatory cytokine in various diseases including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Isoliquiritigenin(ISQ), a flavonoid from licorice, has anti-inflammatory potent in inflammatory disease.
