    Several microneedle devices are currently being used clinically and experimentally to deliver a range of drugs. Studies have shown that for a drug to be delivered, an appropriate force needs to be applied to the microneedle patch. 

    Approval was obtained from Cardiff University School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences Ethics Committee.
