Background
Current regulatory environment requires a paradigm shift from product knowledge to process knowledge, making it essential to evaluate the synthesizing process of drug right from the key starting materials (KSM). Ferric ammonium citrate (FAC), a hematinic agent, is synthesized using different KSM.
