    Chemotherapy plays an important role in treating cancer, however chemotherapy is potentially carcinogenic, mutagenic and teratogenic. A risk associated with chemotherapy for patients who are cured of their disease is the development of secondary, or treatment induced malignancies. Patients receiving chemotherapy are also advised to avoid pregnancy
