Tablet splitting is a practice often recommended by healthcare providers and implemented by healthcare systems aimed at reducing the cost of prescriptions. It also allows the practitioner to administer lower dose to better titrate the dose and facilitate administration of large tablets to patients that may find difficulty swallowing as the whole.. The access to the whole abstract and if available the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
