The purpose of this study is to develop a general cost model of Diabetes II related complications. Florida Medicaid data including 123,000 Diabetes II patients with an average follow up of 2.7 years provide the complication incidence rates and treatment cost data. Markov models using Monte Carlo simulations are developed for each complication.
