    Background

    Psoriasis is a chronic, immune-mediated inflammatory skin disease that causes significant burden to both the patients and the healthcare system.  Commercial medicines including corticosteroids and vitamin D analogues are often used in the topical management of psoriasis due to anti-inflammatory and/or antiproliferative properties.
