In 1996 William Zellmer delivered the Harvey A. K. Whitney Lecture, “Searching for the Soul of Pharmacy,” in which he argued that pharmacy would become a profession once it discovered its “soul,” using Thomas Moore’s definition of soul as “depth, value, relatedness, heart, and personal substance. (Soul, in this definition, is a metaphor.. The access to the whole abstract and if available the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
