Background: Numerous attempts have been made to control permeability of macromolecular drugs through paracellular routes. Paracellular permeability across epithelial cell monolayers is principally controlled by tight junction (TJ). Sec61β is the β subunit of the Sec61 translocon and contributes expression and delivery of basolateral membrane..
