Lovastatin, categorized as a class II compound according to the Biopharmaceutics Classification System, is mainly responsible for the blood cholesterol lowering effect of red yeast rice (RYR).
This study is to investigate the dissolution rate, physical state, and oral bioavailability of lovastatin in three registered RYR products .. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
