Actarit (4-acetylaminophenylacetic acid), reduces TNFα and IL-1β secretion by primary synovial cells of patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and therefore, effectively suppresses progression of disease. Gastrointestinal side effects after oral administration and poor and slow aqueous solubility are the major therapeutic limitations.. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
