Background: For the cell-specific gene delivery, receptor-mediated endocytosis systems possessed by various cell types would be useful, and a number of gene delivery vectors have been developed. Folic acid (FA) is an essential vitamin composed of a pteridine ring, paraminobenzoic acid, and glutamic acid; and often used as a ligand for FA specific..
