Gold nanoparticles can be used as a passive targeted anti cancer drug delivery system by making use the permeability characteristic of blood in tumor tissue which is leakier compared to normal tissue, named enhanced permeability and retention (EPR). The anti cancer drug can be conjugated with gold nanoparticles and accumulated in tumor tissue, but ..
