Background: Generation of cotton-candy floss (CCF) involves heating sugar particles (usually sucrose) in a rotary vessel until the sugar is in a molten state. Spinning the vessel results in the ejection of the sugar due to the centrifugal force generated resulting in threadlike filaments in the micron and sub-micron range. Sucrose is widely used.. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
