Aims: The purpose of this study was to investigate the infrared characterization and secondary structure of bee venom by FT-IR microspectroscopy. Methods: The bee venom from Apis mellifera was purchased from SIGMA and used without further purification. Infrared spectrum in the range 4000-450 cm-1 was recorded on Perkin-Elmer Spectrum One FT-IR.. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
