Background.
Up to 50% of antibiotic use in hospitals is inappropriate including surgical prophylaxis and treatment.
Aims.
To analyse the use of antibiotics among hospitalized children with acute appendicitis
Methods.
Retrospective analysis at University Children[simplequote]s hospital (476 beds) in Riga, Latvia. All in-patients younger than 18.. The access to the whole abstract and if available the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
