Sildenafil, one of phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors, which induces relaxation of vascular smooth muscle, specifically in pulmonary vasculature, is commonly applied in the treatment of erectile dysfunction and pulmonary arterial hypertension. In heart failure patients, nitrate vasodilators alone may not present adequate pulmonary..
