I. Lectins are a group of proteins interact with polysaccharides and glycoproteines by binding to specific carbohydrate residues.
II. These lectins have a specific to sialic acid; they are inductors of g-interferon and antitumour agents also.
III. The lectin preparations were obtained by treatment of culture Liqvid of two saprophytic strains.. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
