In December 2011, deaths from bleeding disorders were observed in the city of Lahore. The previous summer saw an outbreak of Dengue haemorrhagic fever which had led to increased haematogolical vigilance. There are no vectors in winter, so adverse effects of prescribed medicines were suspected. All had been treated at the same cardiac..
