Pain is commonly experienced by children in the context of medical illness and may be due to acute or short-lived pain related to procedures for diagnostic, treatment or surgical interventions. Persisting pain refers to any long-term pain in the context of medical illnesses and refers to specific situations of ongoing tissue damage where there is.. The access to the whole abstract and the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
